Tresor in Kaufungen

Our motorhome diner was a complete success. Excellent food, great wine. Everything perfectly arranged on hot plates. Nice glasses, tablecloth, candle, everything perfect. Served by super friendly service directly at the motorhome ... First class.

We have been regular guests for forty years and we would therefore like to award a 6th star! For the constant, good feel-good atmosphere, the consistently high quality, the freshness and the delicious taste of the dishes, no matter what time of the year. Here the boss cooks personally with passion for his guests! And thanks to the incredibly attentive and friendly staff, it is always a perfect excursion when we decide to go out to eat. When we were eating somewhere else / on vacation etc. we often looked at each other and said: Hmm, I'd rather go back to the "safe" next time. We know what we have :) Therefore here the 6th star ⭐️! We wish the whole team a lot of strength, energy, stamina and above all health in the current "Corona time"! It's great that the delicious food is still available outside the home - but hopefully soon again indoors, live and in color!

Clean and friendly reception. But unfortunately the or the room is getting a bit old. I would say 80s or early 90s.

I cannot agree with the other assessments at all. We were in the Tresor in Kaufungen for the first and last time. Our schnitzel was tough, the food was lukewarm, the fried potatoes had little or no taste and the service didn't work at all. She was rude and ignored questions and applied herself. When asked if the food was good, we were honest. Sure, it's not an obligation, but out of decency you could have offered a coffee once the plates are more than half full. By the way, we paid the normal price. Thank you for nothing!

You can dine very well in this restaurant. Good atmosphere, quick service. Everything great. It is advisable to pre-order tables. There is always something going on there. I can only recommend.

Had a great dinner today. The service was super friendly. Everything happened very quickly. The children's wishes were fulfilled. The steak was spot on. We will definitely come back here. Thanks to the team!

A great restaurant. The five of us ate in the vault. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food was very, very tasty. The decor is very successful and the menu has many allusions that reflect the name of the restaurant. I can recommend the Tresor to anyone who wants to eat well. Just great.

Tresor Restaurant Hotel, Leipziger Str. 465, 34260 Kaufungen Good location in the old city but don't expect the all people in this hotel and restaurant will speak in Engish even the Menu is only in German Language LOL. 80 Euro for a room with only two beds per room and free breakfast for those who wanna rent you should treat that as a joke because you must pay another 45 Euro for the third person even if the manager was been ask twice for a rent of the room for the three people and he was take a deal for the 80 Euro. About the hotel and restaurant - Well it's have a Great local food, hotel restaurant is have a great chef - food is very delicious, I was have a no.9 room on the first floor with the balvcony with great view for the main street and the old beautifull houses, room and bathroom with shower are clean but there is no soap or even a brand new teetch bush with paste in the bathroom so you must take it with you. The towels are complete mess and they are not that clean. And if you wanna rent a room with double bed for three people then at the morning during the breakfast you will get the information from a next shift manager about some problem and then you must pay just another 45 Euro for the third person even when the every single Hotel in Germany is only take money for a single room with two beds for more people then two. So I was get the memo about paying for the next third person by the phone the owner or the 45 Euro but next day the manager or the owner in the person of the older woman behind the register was talk about the 55 Euro. Yeah next time when you gonna pay the bill for the diner for three people about 112 Euro and if you will give the 150 euro with the tip included then don't give that high tips or next day they gonna rip you off. Maybe 45 Euro is not much but it's not fair either so next time I will sleep in car and I will get the food from mart rather go there and make a visit again. So when you will rent a room then you take a risk because you never know how the hotel manager is change his mind, plus if I was a person with a big mouth then I should talk with her boss about their manners but I was pay the money but I will never gonna go there again. My final note for this hotel & restaurant was 4 stars but after this incident I give only 2 stars only for a great food.

Not a place to choose

Excellent service with fantastic food! The atmosphere is also worth a visit. A real insider tip for us, in the otherwise tranquil town of Kaufungen.
